This year’s conference, a must for anyone involved in the audit process, was attended by over 200 delegates. GG119 replaced HD19/15 as the national audit standard in October 2108, and it is no longer acceptable to undertake an audit ‘generally’ in accordance with GG119. SoRSA has therefore been working on companion guidance for anyone who is unable to fulfil all the requirements of this new standard. The conference gave delegates early sight of this new on-line guidance; showed attendees how to provide an adequate audit brief; and complete and assess an auditor’s CV for various projects. It also covered the wider use and relevance of collision data; the process of dealing with road fatalities; and the increasing influence of new technology.
