ADEPT President's Meeting 2017

The President’s Meeting offers the opportunity for ADEPT members to collectively sit back and take stock. Place shaping is a long term business; meanwhile the bins still need emptying today. We want to talk about what the short to longer term future might look like; what will Place Directors have to do differently; and where can ADEPT add value and make a difference. 

The outline programme is available to view HERE. The first session will feature the input of some external speakers who have been invited to present their short to long term perspectives on their areas of expertise and to stimulate debate:

• Liam Booth Smith, Chief Executive of Localis
• Ed Mitchell, Director of Environment for Pennon Group
• Tom Mockridge, Chief Executive of Virgin Media
• Rachel Skinner, Vice President of ICE 

The second session will reflect on what’s just been said and heard, what it might mean for Place Directors and ADEPT’s short to longer term priorities. We’ll then finish the day with a drinks reception followed by an informal dinner. The third and final session during the morning of the second day will look to define outcomes, actions and activities against our refreshed priorities. The output of these discussions will inform a new 3 year Strategic Plan (previously the Policy Prospectus), which will be formally launched at the Annual Conference on 23/24 November.

We will then hold the Association’s Annual General Meeting. Lunch will conclude the event. Attendance costs £100 plus VAT and you can reserve your place using the Book Now button to the right.
